BIRD WATCHING & NATURE TOURS

Canterbury hosts an extensive range of birding sites, ranging from estuarine wetlands to craggy mountain valleys. We conduct nature tours, with a focus on bird watching, for up to ten people. Our tours include two hour, half day, full day and overnight options.

These are ‘close encounter’  birding experiences, with the small groups and the site knowledge of our guides meaning you can often be close to birds without disturbing them or impacting on their natural behaviour.

BIRD GUIDING TOUR OPTIONS

OUR FIXED TOUR: Fixed date and our itinerary – see our calendar as we run very few of these as our main focus is Private and Individually designed tours.

PRIVATE TOUR: Your date & Our Itinerary

INDIVIDUALLY DESIGNED TOUR: Completely customised for your birding, photography or groups needs.

INDIVIDUALLY DESIGNED TOUR  prices vary depending on the number of birds clients want to see, where those birds might be located, the number of hours or days involved, number of sites to be visited and so on.

Minimum numbers / costs apply to all tours. More people may mean reduced cost (per person) on Individually Designed Tours.

GUIDED BIRD WATCHING – INDIVIDUALY DESIGNED ITINERARIES

Many bird watchers come to Canterbury with a specific list of species they want to observe.

However, they can waste the limited time they have in Canterbury  going to the wrong places, or the right places but at the wrong time, missing out on the birds on their list.

To enhance your chances of seeing specific species, we design personalised tour itineraries, taking you to where you stand the best chance of finding the birds you want to see.

Contact us with your list and the dates you’ll be in Canterbury and let us create and cost a personalised itinerary just for you and your party.
